About this part

Hardrace's HR-8820 rear trailing arm fits the XT Forester built from 2008 to 2013, pairing a hardened steel arm with a hardened rubber bush in place of the factory item. The firmer compound reduces deflection under load so the rear end holds its set alignment better through a corner, while remaining compliant enough to isolate road noise and small impacts. Hardrace sample-test the rubber on a rotorless rheometer and tensile strength tester and model the arm's angle, dimension and travel in 3D before a prototype goes to track testing.
