Service park time is measured in minutes and the job list never shrinks, so the equipment that matters is whatever lets two people do a wheel, a fluid check and a repair without looking for anything. Most of what goes wrong on a rally weekend is fixed with things you either brought or did not.

What actually decides it

  • A fast jack that lifts high enough for a gravel car matters more than a light one.
  • Duplicate the tools you use under time pressure. Looking for the only 17mm socket is how a service overruns.
  • Spares are chosen by what strands you, not by what breaks most often.
