Minidulla Rally 2026
14 November 2026 · New South Wales
About the Minidulla Rally
The Minidulla Rally is a gravel (dirt) rally run on forestry roads at Mogood, in the Shoalhaven region of the NSW South Coast inland from Batemans Bay near Milton. It is organised by the Shoalhaven and Kiama Districts Auto Club (SKDAC) as a standalone, non-series event supported by AMSAG — it does not count toward AMSAG's Southern Cross Rally Series. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday 14 November 2026, based at Shallow Crossing Campground. The event has a chequered recent history — it ran in 2018 and 2021 but was cancelled in both 2019 and 2022, and hasn't run since — making 2026 a genuine comeback after a roughly four-year gap. When it last ran in full (2021), 34 crews entered, 27 finished, and Eoin Moynihan/Johnny Brophy (Ford Escort Mk2) won.

Watching the event
Nothing is published for 2026 — the AMSAG event noticeboard still reads "Spectator Instructions (will be uploaded here when available)" as of 30 July 2026. AMSAG's normal practice, as seen at the 2026 Bega Valley Rally, is free spectating at a small number of official points, each with its own PDF of turn-by-turn directions, GPS coordinates and the time the first car is due, posted in the weeks beforehand. Everything here is deep in Clyde State Forest on unsealed roads behind manned road closures, so wait for the official instructions rather than driving in on spec.
Running order
- Saturday 14 November 2026
- AMSAG lists the event as running 08:30 to 17:30. The detailed running schedule — check-in, competitors' briefing, first car on stage, service breaks, finish and presentation — was not published as of 30 July 2026; AMSAG's page says the running schedule will be uploaded when available.
- Before the event
- Pre-event scrutineering is done away from the rally, at an AMSAG-approved scrutineer up to three weeks beforehand by appointment, and documentation is verified online when you lodge the entry. Nothing is scrutineered at the event itself without prior arrangement.
The event in detail
- Format
- Saturday 14 November 2026, 8:30am-5:30pm. 2021 (last full running): 140.41 km competitive, 165.47 km total, at least six stages.
- Terrain
- Gravel (dirt) forestry roads through forest terrain, based at Shallow Crossing Campground on The River Road.
- History
- Ran 2018 and 2021; cancelled 2019 and 2022; hasn't run since — 2026 is a comeback after roughly four years. 2021 winner: Eoin Moynihan/Johnny Brophy (Ford Escort Mk2), from 34 entries/27 finishers.
- Notable
- As of late July 2026, entries were not yet open and no supplementary regulations, running schedule or spectator instructions had been published — a genuinely small, community-run event.
Getting there and staying
Getting there
Rally HQ and service park is the Shallow Crossing Campground on The River Road, Mogood. The easiest approach is from Batemans Bay: the Kings Highway about 9 km to Nelligen, then The River Road north roughly 19 km — around 30 km and 40 minutes all up, with the River Road section unsealed dirt. The northern approach from Milton or Ulladulla fords the Clyde River at the Shallow Crossing causeway, mapped as a low-water crossing passable to 2WD at low tide, so use the Nelligen side if there's been rain or you're towing. Canberra Airport is about 143 km and 2h15 via the Kings Highway, Sydney about 4 hours. There's no fuel at the site — nearest pumps are roughly 20 km away at Nelligen or on the Princes Highway near Brooman. Coverage in the Clyde valley isn't documented anywhere, so assume patchy to non-existent.
Staying
Camping at Shallow Crossing Campground itself is the obvious option and almost certainly the main one — a basic riverside campground with pit toilets and no reticulated water, rather than a caravan park. SKDAC hadn't published camping arrangements, fees or whether the campground is reserved for the event as of 30 July 2026. Nearest beds are about 20 km away at Nelligen, with the full range of motels and holiday parks at Batemans Bay 30 km south and Milton-Ulladulla 40-47 km north. Mid-November is outside the South Coast summer peak, but Batemans Bay still books up on weekends.
While you're there
Murramarang National Park is about 38 km away, with Pebbly Beach and its beach-going kangaroos. The Pigeon House Mountain Didthul walking track in Morton National Park is roughly 41 km and just over an hour, and is the standout climb in the district. Monga National Park's cool-temperate rainforest is about 38 km west up the Kings Highway. Closer in, Nelligen is a small heritage village on the Clyde, and Batemans Bay has the estuary, oysters and surf beaches.
Entering
Entries were not open as of 30 July 2026 — AMSAG's page says "entries not yet open" and the supplementary regulations haven't been published. Entry will be through WOLF Sports, with payment at the time of entry. Both crew must hold a current AASA rally competition licence — AMSAG stopped accepting Motorsport Australia licences from 1 January 2026 — and be AMSAG members at $60 annual competitive or $20 single-event; minimum age is 16 for drivers and 14 for co-drivers. The entry fee and field cap for Minidulla aren't published. One thing to watch: Southern Cross Series rounds must be route-charted with pace notes banned, but AMSAG's regulations let non-series events be either route-charted or pace-noted — and Minidulla is non-series, so whether it runs blind will only be settled by the supplementary regulations.
Entry details, prices and deadlines were checked on 2026-08-30. Confirm them against the organiser before relying on them.
