About the Tarmac West
Tarmac West (Lance East Exotics Tarmac West) is Western Australia's premier tarmac rally, contested on sealed, closed public roads across Perth, the Perth hills and surrounding shires. Promoted by Tarmac Events WA and sanctioned through the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA), the four-day event runs Thursday to Sunday over about 250 kilometres of closed roads, with rally HQ at Langley Park in the Perth CBD, stages at locations such as Whiteman Park, Kalamunda, Mundaring, Toodyay and Chittering, and a finishing Perth City Sprint on Riverside Drive. The successor to the long-running Targa West, it returned in 2024 as the flagship event of Tarmac Events WA's own WA tarmac calendar rather than a round of the national Australian Rally Championship.
