About the Great Alpine Rally
The Great Alpine Rally is a two-day tarmac rally held on 28–29 March 2026 in Victoria's High Country, based at Falls Creek. It runs on fully closed public sealed roads between Mount Beauty and Falls Creek along the Bogong High Plains Road, over the summit toward the Omeo Highway. Its inaugural 2026 running is the first time the Bogong High Plains Road has been closed for motorsport competition, and the event forms Round 2 of the 2026 Australian Tarmac Rally Championship (ATRC), organised by Australian Tarmac Rally Pty Limited (ATR) and sanctioned by the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA).
